BSB41515 Certificate IV in Project Management Practice has been designed as an entry course into practical project management skills and knowledge that could be applied in a wide variety of contexts.
Students will develop the ability to be members of a project team with no direct responsibility for overall project outcomes, supporting wider project operations. Students will be able to use project tools and methodologies selectively to support organisational or business activities.
International students must be over eighteen years old and provide evidence to demonstrate both academic and English language entry requirements as follows:
- Successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent and/or above
English Language Requirements as follows:
- IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
Any AQF qualification at the Certificate III level or above in any discipline area delivered and assessed in English only will be deemed as meeting both the academic and English language entry requirements
The Certificate IV in Project Management Practice duration is 26 weeks (20 weeks delivery plus up to 6 weeks term break).

|DELIVERY STRUCTURE – A BLENDED MIX OF CLASSROOM AND ONLINE|
The course is offered in a blended delivery mode of delivery and assessment. This means students are required to completed 20 hours per week made up of 15 hours face-to-face full-time classroom study plus 5 hours of structured online learning each week.
You will use the E-learn Mercury Colleges platform.
Students are required to complete a range of tasks for each unit. Assessments may include a variety of written tasks and a project that is based on a business simulation. The project activities reflect authentic workplace techniques and processes. The projects require the collection of information and the presentation of outcomes. Students will be expected to complete some project tasks in the classroom. Then complete the written components such as report writing outside of class time.

Students will use a computer to complete the course in class and in your own time. We recommend you have your own laptop computer. You can also access College computers. Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the campus.

Students may be entitled to gain course credit and/or recognition prior or after commencing the course that will exempt them from completing one or more units of competence. See the website and Student handbook for more details and talk to a course advisor.
Students that successfully complete all 9 units of competency will be issued with BSB41515 Certificate IV in Project Management Practice by Mercury Colleges. This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
